Baby Chrono's are very rare and horological wonders... making a small Chrono movement is so much more complicated than a big one! Some brands in period (30's/40's) used the Valjoux 69 but Universal decided to manufacture it's own Calibre 289/290. This example has a steel 26mm case (and the nicest baby ref in my opinion). Finding an original dial is quite difficult one most UG's but especially on these models! This original Compur dial is still in lovely condition but hard to photograph... it's much better in real life! It's in Art-Deco style and lovely in all it's simplicity.
