Longines Chronostop Stop Second from 1940

A Longines Chronostop is quite a rare model to find... certainly in a nice all original untouched condition like this example! This one also reveals some of it's history via the engraving on the caseback... It was given to a school principal in Vevey Switzerland in 1942. The archives state it's model 4631 and it was delivered to the Swiss Longines agent in 1940. The original dial has aged into a lovely cream color and has black and blue printing. The stunning blue hands are complemented with a gold minute counting hand. Movement is Cal. 12.68Z Stop and was recently serviced and is super clean. The case measures 32,5mm excl. the original crown. Attached is a beautiful period lizard strap matching the dial. Lovely piece which looks even better in real life!
