Here we have one of the nicest and rarest Benrus Sky Chief's... it's the very first model from the early 40's with a 35mm steel snap back case which was used by various airlines! But, very few were officially signed/given-out... this one however is engraved and was issued by the KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. I purchased the watch from the nephew of the original owner who was a KLM pilot. The original black dial is in stunning all original condition with brown/green aged radium numerals and gilt print. Movement is super clean and working well and is a Venus 178 (first series Sky Chiefs). Attached is a brown/green period style strap which works great with the dial. This is all we look for in a vintage watch... condition and heritage! This Benrus offers both.
